Name of Site/Business: Tweako

Site's Main Purpose: Advertising (eg Banners, Google Adsense etc.)

Please Review the following:
Does/can the site achieve its main purpose?

Additional Comments/Notes
Hi,

I own and manage a new social computing & technology website (tweako.com). To sum things up, several personal issues have arose and I may be, in a way, forced to sell soon. I thought I would ask around on several web master forums to see what some of you believe would be a reasonable asking price and perhaps the best place to list for sale - if the event would come.

The site launched at the end of March and has received some amazing exposure. The best way to get an idea of the site, if you haven't already seen or heard about it, is just to visit. I'll sum up some of the site features and 'seo' stats to give you a better idea (for valuating):

Quick feature list:
Users
User profiles
Buddylist and "Friending"
Private Messages
Personalized Page with custom RSS feeds and overviews of the sites sections
Ability to submit links or articles
Small Forum
User Points system and 'Top Users' Page
Content categorization and tagging
Commenting on all nodes
..and more

User Submission / Promotion System:
When users submit content it goes to the admin/moderator for review. The admin can then stamp the node as approved or delete it. After it is approved, you can set a date/time for when the node will be published on the front page. This way the admin can sift through submitted content at the beginning of the day and queue up a days (or more) worth of content for automatic publishing. Users can check their "My Content" page for the status of their submissions waiting moderation.

Some SEO Stats:
PR 6
Alexa: Yesterday: 23,266. Week: 23,834. Three Month: 46,868
Google Index: 20,700
Inlinks: Approx 2,300+
Traffic: Month of May: Pages - Approx 300,000, Visits: Approx 100,000
SE Traffic: Approx 22,000 visits (May)

Any other questions - please ask.

Thank you,
Mike

The site available for sale. Below are more in-depth details:

1. Your name?

Mike Stefanello

2. URL - Title - Brief Description?

[link]

Tweako - Collaborative Computing

A user-powered site, and social network, serving guides, tutorials, and more in all categories of computing, technology, and the Internet.

3. Age of site?

2.5 months

4. Approximately monthly page views and/or unique visitors?

Data from the month of May:
Awstats:
Pageviews: 927578
Visitors: 191498

Google Analytics:
Pageviews: 300,000
Visitors: 108,515

5. How does the site generate income? How much?

Adsense was implemented periodically but generating revenue was at the bottom of my priorities as the site was launched not too long ago. (approx $150)

6. Who develops content and administers the site? How much time does it require?

Content is submitted by the community either in the form of a link/description or a full-written article. Newly submitted content is listed in the "Pending Approval" administration section. Administrators can then approve or delete the items. After being approved, administrators can set the data and time that each item gets published to the front page so the sites content flow can be automated. Members can view the status of their submissions in their "My Content" section. Time required varies greatly. Other than approving/queuing content, there isn't much else to do. Occasionally I like to gather up and submit content to ensure a constant flow of new material.

7. What is the monthly cost of running the site - Hosting details?

As of now the site is hosted on two separate VPS (Virtual Private Servers) - each machine has one gig of RAM and 80 gigs of harddisk space. The main server (apache, php, postfix) is $89 a month, and could easily be used alone if you want to save money. The second server (MySQL) is $59 a month. Together they are extremely powerful and never slowed down a bit, even while on the front of Digg.com. If you want to save money, I would be willing to move MySQL to the main server so only one is needed.

8. Reason for selling?

Developing personal and family issues - it is the last thing I want to do.

9. Will you help with the transition of the site to the new owner?

Of course. I will be willing to offer full support for any issues or help for up to a month after the transaction. I will also continue help to administer and moderate the site during the transition as well. I will only sell the site to someone who is willing to keep it running as well as I have been - and I will do what I can to ensure that happens.

10. Does the site have an ezine or newsletter? Number of subscribers?

There is no newsletter. But the site offers a never ending amount of RSS feeds which the sites audience prefers. Every single category and user-made tag offers 3 RSS feeds (Recent Content, Most Popular, Most Commented). The sites main feed, which delivers content in every category, gets hit about 5,000 times a day.

11. What all does the site include?

The transaction includes:
-The domain name: tweako.com
-Full access to both VPS servers and resuming the hosting account
-The entire fully-functional web site (all files, graphics, etc)
-The sites database
-Full support and administration assistance for one month (something can be worked out if needed after)

12. Asking price for the site?

$XX,XXX

I do not have a specific amount to list. I am accepting offers from various locations. The site will only be sold if a price is offered that I am content with.

13. SEO and Related Statistics

Google Pagerank: 6
Alexa Traffic Rank: 46,868 (will be 43,313 on next update). [Yesterday: 25,771, One Week Avg: 28,993]
Google Index: 20,700
Google Traffic in May: +20,000 visits
Inlinks: 2,309
Technorati Links: 607
Technorati Rank: 34,414
StumbleUpon Traffic: Total: 8,800 (Average 100 / day)

The site is designed and programmed to be extremely search engine friendly - and achieving a PR6 and this sort of SE traffic after 2 months illustrates this. For every new tag that is added, the site generates three new pages and three new RSS feeds. When nodes are submitted their meta-data is automatically generated, placing the page title, tags, and description in the appropiate areas. URLs are also automatically generated based on the node title, making them keyword-rich and user friendly.
