What is this?

Have been playing around with php lately and editing a site live on a remote server.

Every so often the pages don't display properly and end up loading like this:

A> 15-Jan-2004 19:21 1k arrow_south_east.gif 15-Jan-2004 19:21 1k bannermain.jpg 10-Jun-2004 01:28 7k banners/ 18-Feb-2004 19:30 -

etc etc with icons for images next to image names.

is this a server problem or what?

Probably a very simple answer but I've never bothered asking.

(using gzip but am pretty sure it was doing it before anyway)

Check your error logs.
You probly have something in there that can point you in the right direction.
Peace out,
Jeff

Looks like an index of a folder. Just lists all the files there.

This happens when the folder doesn't have a default page to serve to users.
