Links from social networking sites like Delicious, mybookmarks, technorati, magnolia and other Social Networking sites. Are these good for getting PR??

Though I used these along with article submissions, directory submissions, I didn't get any traction from bookmarks in terms of PR.

They might be good for a short-term boost, particularly for blogs and fast-changing sites.
I doubt they have much long term use.
But I'm willing to learn

You should use social boomarking as a part of your website promotion, keep in mind that many of the SNW links are nofollow and don't add to you PR.

Use social bookmarking sites without thinking about PR. You may get PR too from such sites.

I wouldn't worry too much about Pagerank (PR) anymore. PR really has nothing to do with search engine rankings.
Using the social media sites is important...to get your site's content recognized by others who have the ability to link over to it. Once others see it--if they like it they'll link to it which will increase your site's rankings.
