I would like to set up a website for selling my art. It would have a free section and a fee paid section.

I signed up for a Yahoo E-commerce site. I am attempting to build my website, however, I am just not certain about what I need.

Please offer some advice.

Thank you in advance,
Jan

You could use HTACCESS (probably not available through Yahoo) to password protect your paid areas. Yahoo may have something for this though through their interface.

Thank you so much for your reply. I will look into that.

I have belonged to member paid websites who use Bravenet to log in to the site.

I was hoping for one vendor who could provide Hosting, a simple set up (since I am NOT a web designer.)

I can do almost any formula in Excel or Lotus, but HTML is something I am going to have to learn!!!

You could hire someone to run/create your site - depending on how fancy you want it, it could be done affordably. I was considering doing that myself, being a webmaster (I run 2 sites now), it's just the legalities (taxes, laws, etc) that are a bit of a problem - I don't know where to start. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

BTW, a host that has CPANEL (and maybe DirectAdmin though I never used that) has a feature to password protect folders for you, and all that other HTACCESS stuff smile Quite nice.

In order to selling your art ,you want to build a website of yourself is perfaps a cheap way. first of all,you have to register a domain name. Then you can host your art on your own website and sell it.
