I am looking for suggestions of a good blogging service. I just need something really simple to post messages, allow comments and post pictures. Posting pictures is very important so that's a must. Multiple pics per post too.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I appreciate any feedback.

Are you looking for something that does the posting for you - as in in writes them for you - or are you looking for a blogging platform that will allow what you posted?

If platform - Wordpress.

If you want someone who can do the work for you, I have no idea - sorry...

Sorry for not being more clear. I'm just looking for something like Blogger.com where I can keep my own blog. I'm specifically looking for a blog that's easy to use (it's actually something my sister will be using while in Guatemala working in an orphanage) and will allow easy uploads of lots of photos.

If you want the best blog it needs to be on your own domain and that means it isn't easy. WordPress is best but the learning curve is not fun.

If you just want to figure blogging out check out StumbleUpon and Squidoo. StumbleUpon is easy but has many drawbacks. Squidoo is better and you receive half the income it generates, if any.

I'm checking on another new option now. PM me for details.

Yep - I run Wordpress blogs exclusively - now I know a bunch of good tweaks, too. wink

Do you have access to your own server? or does this need to be a hosted application (like Blogger)?

I do have access to my own server. I was hoping to get a nice blogging application that I could host within my own domain and have it use the same template my web site uses. You'd think there'd be an easy solution out there but I can't find one.

From an ease of installation perspective, I'd say WordPress - very easy to install. After that, it's up to you to take any of the templates and customize it to match your site...

Alright, I'll look more into that. Thanks as always.

Even those who don't have their own servers can use WordPress on their own domains. Numerous hosting companies offer the ability to install your own copy of WordPress on their server. My blog is using laughingsquid and there are others we're testing to see which works best.
