In the immediate future I am guessing that several from here will be attending the next LondonSEO drinks night.
It's on the evening of 2008-04-10 at the Cittie of Yorke pub at 22 High Holborn, London. It's located just a few yards from Chancery Lane tube station. I believe that sem4u and Quadrille are going.
Anyone want to meet up a bit earlier for a meal, perhaps?

I know that the Cittie of Yorke does food. Maybe some of us could meet up nearby for something to eat before going to the pub? I can't really do anything before 6pm.

Wetherspoon's Penderel's Oak, 283 High Holborn, Holborn WC1V 7HP is very close, and there's many eateries around; but 6pm is a busy time, as it's Office Chuckout Time!
I favour the Oak, as their food is cheap quick and above company average - plus I can get a very good pint with it!

Ahem. The LondonSEO event starts at 6 pm so should we go to Weatherspoons a bit earlier, or do we just eat at the Cittie of Yorke?

I don't want to start any earlier ... and I'm still in favour of eating at JDW - partly because it's cheaper, I know they have good beer, and (most important), it's usually not so packed as the Yorke, whick I prefer when I'm eating!
I'm happy to catch you up (I prefer to be tortoise than hare at these events

London's lucky to have people willing and able to organise such events ... good beer, too.

A Good Night was had by all, but we did it in two parts:
A quick meal and pint at 'The Oak' for SEFers, and then a swift walk down the road to the 'Cittie of Yorke' where several (many?) pints (and a bowl of chips) were consumed courtesy of the LondonSEO group...
The latter meetup had attendance well into the 80s I think. One of the best yet, and it was great to meet several people who I hadn't met before as well as catch up with a few regulars. A hardy few then went on for an Indian meal, but having eaten earlier in the evening (err, ahem, twice, in fact), I had no room for more food, and went back to the hotel to crash.
