hello
im looking to use autoresponders and regular weekly email newsletters. i have looked at these providers:
www.getresponse.com
www.aweber.com
anyone have positive or negative experience with them? are there others i should be considering?

I've used them both and have recommended them to my custom web applications clients. They're feature-rich, easy to use, priced right, and have great technical support.
