Can anyone recommend a good free search engine that does not have any advertising on it please?

I am looking for both a bookmarking script and homepage scripts that works with both Explorer and Navigators. All help appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben

I'm interested in trying out a text ad exchange. Given the flexability of text, you have to think about number of links, placement, configuration, etc. on top of all the business issues of a banner exchange (ratios, traffic, quality, etc.).

Long story short, I'm interested in people's experiences with these types of programs. I found a list of different programs at: http://www.lights.com/weblogs/textads.html

but no reviews.

I'm much curious about them too. I've seen someone posted at escribe.com that he averages ~3.5 CPM Net with TVMV, does anyone knows if that's true?...

dpg,

Does their rate depend on site's traffic or everyone should expect the same CPM?

Thanks!

I have some experience with TVMV. Our site currently allocates about 300,000 ads per month to them, and they deliver a little more than 1 CPM. I haven't been real impressed with their CPM delivery. There is one wierd thing. I like there "style". They are agressive and seem to be heading towards a specific goal(or perhaps their just fast talkers, heh). At the moment it seems as if they haven't got their act together totally, but they are legit, and they are going somewhere(up in the ranks I mean). It may be a good idea to use them as your default, until their CPM rates are climb a bit higher. It is in the realm of possibility that the other site is earning that much, because as hifiheaven seems to have experienced some sites can earn more CPM than others. We haven't run ads with them for a long time, so perhaps they will be able to do more in the way of getting targeted ads, but I doubt it so I wont worry about it.

We've just started with TVMV, and they do our bottom banners. From 4 day's worth of stats, I'm getting about $0.921 CPM, (which I assume, is after their 50% cut) 100% inventory (AdForce says 100% pay Ads), and dismal CTR. Since this _is_ bottom banner, I'm pleasantly surprised at all this, as we seem to be making more dough with just the bottom banners, than we made with Flycast banners on the top. This might change, since we've been on for only 4 days, but we did serve quite a number of ads, and I doubt it will change very much. So, it seems like it's going to stablize around those values...

One question, though. More than half the inventory was sold to Live 365. Is this the case with other TVMV users? They are getting really lousy CTR, and I'm wondering how they manage to stay above the red.

I thought TVMV's contract required their ads to be "above the fold". Do you have a url for your site, Netropy?

Just got contacted by them (although they now appear to be called MusicVision) and it seems a great way to deliver ads for a music site.

Only $1 CPM? Not particularly great but I would presume there would be more likelihood in receiving targetted ads through them than someone like Flycast?
