After some extensive research I have found a better way to describe what I am looking for. A good example is cell phone pricing plans. You pay for a certain number of minuetes each month. That is what I am looking for to use for my customers.

Any ideas?

I am assuming you are not referring to billing in arrears but rather having customers buy something in "blocks". Maybe I'm missing something here but I can't see any problem in setting that up in say, Miva Merchant.

Each batch of minutes is a separate product which has a separate price eg:

100 minute plan: Price $40.00
200 minute plan: Price $75.00
300 minute plan: Price $105.00
400 minute plan: Price $135.00 etc.

Another possibility is 1 minute costs $0.50 and then you have volume discounts like as follows:

2-100 minutes: 20% discount on all minutes
101 - 200 minutes: 25% discount on all minutes
201 - 300 minutes: 30% discount on all minutes
301 - 400 minutes: 32% discount on all minutes etc.

These would be simple to setup and process the payments in Miva Merchant.

You can also set it up so customers elect to buy the same amount of time per month eg 300 minutes a month - so there would be an monthly charge of $105.00 automatically charged to the customer's credit card.

Does that help?
