forum submission software

hello.
I'm testing the market for a forum submission program I'm developing. It supports different forum software (10 of the major bb software providers, starting with vBulletin and phpBB) so there's virtually an unlimited number of forums you can use it with.
What it can be used for is making announcements or if you just want to post a message to an entire list of forums and see the feedback.
There is a very easy system of configuring the program and choosing what forum/section to send to.

Everything is designed so the user can leave the program do the job instead of spending precious time with the posting.

Please let me know if you would be interested in such a program (I only want to know if it has commercial value) and if so how much would you spend on such a program?

If you are interested in seeing a demo or giving a test to the program, please let me know and I'll send this to you.

Thank you,
Paul

Is that the program that people use to keep spamming this board with adverts?

I've been waiting to meet up with the person who started that off.

Step outside I need to have a word with you.

The program isn't even released. I'm sorry the majority of people thinks only at bad things that can be done with a program like this but this isn't really my fault. There are legitimate uses for a software like this. If one can only think at the bad side be sure he won't have it.
Regards,
Paul

I was thinking of having something similar to meta robots NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW on your site to stop the program from posting. Of course, the meta robots is an example, something else should be used in this case. Or maybe have a noautopost.html file in the root directory of the forum..
Looking forward to see your reply.

So, you're going to put in on the forum owner to customize their site to keep bots out in order that we don't get innundated from your spam program? I actually want my vBulletin forum to get indexed by legit search engines.

What I don't want is spam on my boards. I deal with enough manually generated spam as it is, your program would only be of interest to other spammers. I hold a very low opinion of people who spam forums, and an even lower one of anyone who would be involved with the software you described. rolleyeys

Jerome, I used another solution that will make any site friendly to search engines but untouchable to this program: It will send an clear User-Agent header to identify itself: ForumSubmitter. You can opt to ignore anything with this header

No, you are still expecting me to do something to "opt out" of being bombed by your spam bot by having to alter code on my site. That is the epitome of arrogance on your part.

May I politely suggest that your proposed software deteriorate in a heated underworld?

Jerome, if you own a site you should be ready to adapt it and make it better. There are mods out there with the only purpose to stop spam; I'm offering a way to do the same thing in 2 lines.
Jerome, do you like big words? Think again who's the arrogant one considering that you think everything new should be made to suit you. Out of curiosity, have you ever thought the world revolves around you?

Doesn't matter anyway.
Ciao

No.

Your software should be OPT IN.

That is, I add a line to my site if I allow your software to be used.

Otherwise you stay out.

If the words I used were too big for you, I could simplify them a bit, but my wording might be inappropriate for the family oriented audience here.

You want to exploit the software others use for their forums and put the burden on them to block it. To me, that is scumware and makes anyone promulgating it scum as well.

Seems to me you think the world revolves around you and you should have your way to intrude upon others. Were you one of those on the bandwagon of exploiting Windows netsend as well?

If it doesn't matter anyway, how about you just take it somewhere else?
