That site no longer exists, so could you say what you mean by a search engine incubator?
It means nothing to me, and I'm not sure what relevance it has for webmasters - unless they are laying Search Engine Eggs
Added: Found some stuff on free-press-release.com - I don't think they are the only people working on 'open source' search technology, but it's very, very, very, silly of them to suggest people sell Google shares on that basis.
But from a webmaster POV, it doesn't matter whether the search is open source, closed, or even microsoft - what matters is "Does it bring visitors".
And at this time (and for a goodly while to come), that's a big "no".
I wish them well, however; open source is the future, I've no doubt, and a new generation of real search engines will hopefully convince the "I've done a course and I can make a meta search engine" brigade to give up and go home!
