Hi,

In PPC, what is Behavioural Targeting & Contextual Targeting?. What is the difference between the two?. Please enlighten.

In the strictest sense contextual targeting means the ads are chosen based on the specific content of the page where they are being served.

Many contextual services target based on themes or channels, however.

Behavioral targeting means that ads are targeted based on historical data about what the individual user has done/seen/liked.

Two other options are demographic targeting where ads are shown only to people fitting specific criteria (sex, age, and other specifics) and geo-targeting where ads are shown only to Internet users known to be in specific locations OR who provide location information while online.
