What are the current leading PPC management tools for overture, adwords, and msn?

I was discussing just that subject last week with the most brilliant PPC analyst I know. We both agree that there is no automated tool that can outperform manual management performed by exceptional humans.

Because I do not use automated tools I am not in a position to be able to recommend any. I have suggested to the most qualified people I know that they develop and offer Best Practices manuals for PPC advertisers.

I have spent 12 hours a day, for the last 7 years managing bids. It doesn't hurt using a tool in conjuction with your work. That said, what tools are currently available should one decide to use them?

Your interest is specifically in bid management tools?

We haven't discussed bid management programs any time recently. There are many links to Bid Management Tools in a very old thread. I removed the links that were no longer valid.

Those that remain in that thread were the major players back then and likely to be the major players still today. There may be newer entries into that market but those links will provide a place to start.

Those are essentially outdated...does anyone have any input?

The latest article I've seen on the subject is Traffick: Bid Management Tools. I have seen questions similar to yours on numerous other forums garner few useful comments.

You might try searching for "bid management tools" +2007 and see if you can find anything useful. You could also ask your question at LinkedIn Answers.

Since LinkedIn is frequented by consultants and executives of Fortune 400/500/1000 companies there could be Bid Management users there who could provide excellent input.

Flying Rose,

For overture, we have always used Bidrank, however, with this new system, we can no longer obtain a set rank.
I am managing 500 first and second tier terms, and approx 7000 third tier terms. As a platinum member of Yahoo, I have optimizer available to me. The reps at pushing it, but I am skeptical. What is your opinion of optimizer?
