They can make you #1 for phrases like men's green silk ties, or brass zebra decorations, protein enriched soy milk product,...you know, the real competitive words.

Have any of you heard of EzRankings.com? Our company is thinking of using them for some SEO work and I am trying to check them out first so I don't get burned like I did with TrafficPower. Any information would be great.
Thank you and God Bless

As with any SEO company, take the time to find out exactly what they plan to do to your site and make sure all of those changes are visible to you.

The best way to make a decision about an SEM company is to know the basics of optimization, to understand what methods are acceptable to the engines, and to select a company that will optimize your site honestly and ethically.

#1 Brass Zebra, we're even beating eBay! smile

Alas, only 8th for Green Hedgehog

Posted By: Rezac ()
Posted On: 09/01/2004 07:52 pm

The intersting facts about the hedgehog, in particular the green species, is they prefer to feed at night. If you encounter a green hedgehog durning breeding season, expect to see several other hedgehogs, but much smaller, and most likely they will not be green in color. I find this animal to be wonderful to observe and if you ever see a green hedgehog, tell him hi from matt.

There, that should bring us to #1 for green hedge-hogs.

Posted By: girlontop ()
Posted On: 09/22/2004 03:05 pm

Random, totally true story about a hedgehog:
There's this guy who lives in my condo complex who brings his hedgehog to the pool with him. He mostly leaves it to roll around in a little, plastic, green ball. It's hollowed- out with air holes so that the hedge hog won't suffocate. Sometimes, though, he lets the hedgehog swim in the pool when there's nobody else in it. Also, I was in the jacuzzi the other night and the guy gets the hedgehog out of its green plastic ball and brings it in. Thank the lord above that he didn't release the rodent into the water. I would have really freaked out. I wonder if the hedgehog will turn green like blondes do in chlorinated water.

Posted By: e10 ()
Posted On: 09/23/2004 08:56 am

No. 3 for green hedgehogs now.

girlontop, far as I know green hedgehogs turn blonde in chlorinated water, but blonde hedgehogs turn blue. hope that clarifys the hedgehog/chlorination equation for you.

Posted By: girlontop ()
Posted On: 09/23/2004 09:07 am

That's weird. Who knew it was even possible for a green hedgehog to change into a blonde? I wonder if they have more fun that way.

Posted By: greenleaves ()
Posted On: 09/23/2004 03:12 pm

yall have wayyy too much time to sit around and ponder about the bloody green hedgehog. Leave the poor blonde hedgehog alone.

I wonder what makes us all want this thread to rank well for green hedgehog? (and now I am hopping for a bonde hedgehog ranking)

Posted By: girlontop ()
Posted On: 09/23/2004 03:41 pm

Maybe its our competitive nature as humans. Can't help ourselves.
I think that blonde hedgehogs may be a bit tougher than green hedgehogs. The whole: do you add an "e" at the end of blonde hedgehog, or leave it off and just wrtie blond hedgehog instead? might be a problem. I think its correct either way. Chlorinated hedgehogs. Now that's gotta be simpler.

Posted By: flyingrose (Moderator)
Posted On: 10/17/2004 12:25 pm

Must be. Number 1 for chlorinated hedgehogs. And would you believe there is a hedgehog ad (only one) at Google. Check it out:

Hedgehogs by Vickie
Licensed breeder of baby hedgehogs.
Supplies & equipment for hedgehogs
[url removed]

Even funnier the three Adsense ads next to this box are for Zebras! One is for some kind of printer, the second for Zebra themed merchandise and the third for Exotic Zebra T-shirts.

They're your competition Vanache. Don't see your ad for "Green Silk Brass Zebra Tie Decorations".

Posted By: vanachte ()
Posted On: 10/22/2004 04:14 pm

I had to pull the ad. It was costing me a bundle. sad Way too much traffic at a much to high click through rate.

I think the only phrase more expensive right now is "Zebra Mesothelioma"

Posted By: yellowwing (Moderator)

Crud, the latest Google has zapped us for green hedgehog. sad

But we are still number 1 for brass zebra! smile

Posted By: sem4u ()
Posted On: 02/16/2005 02:04 am

That is great but the real money is in antique brass zebra collecting.

I heard that an antique brass zebra can sell for a lot of money on ebay smile

Hey I just noticed, this thread is #1 in Google for Brass Zebra Decorations, and #5 for Green Hedgehog

do you love antique brass zebra earrings?
or ordamental antique brass zebra bookends?
If so - stay tuned

Posted By: excell (Moderator)
Posted On: 05/24/2005 12:24 pm

Competition is killing us for antique brass zebras #1 for plain brass zebras not antique ones - fine and #1 for the antique brass earrings & bookends - but I cannot see the money in these type of antiques myself, I think I would rather go to the zoo to see zebras instead of collecting the brass ones (antique zebra or not).

Nearly June, and Summer should be here. Instead of that it is freezing cold and all I hear is people muttering about brass monkeys.

Posted By: excell (Moderator)
Posted On: 05/24/2005 01:54 pm

Brass monkeys? Did you mean the 3 of them that see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil type brass monkeys? or did you mean freeze the balls off a brass monkey type item?

Unfortunately the latter, and enough rain that Noah might need to be re-employed.

What's really odd is that there are 78 search result pages for "Zebra Mesothelioma". Aside from our witty thread, the rest are random keyword stuffed pages.

Those 76 other pages, do they really think there might be a consumer with a cancerous Zebra? My Zebra was afflicted by your products, I'll sue the shirt off of your back.

Meanwhile the rest of us are relaxing at the Green Hedgehog Sports Pub!

Whenever a specific client of mine starts seeing a dip in his monthly sales, he tells me that we need to resubmit to the engines. I try to tell him not to worry about that.
A few years back, assuming that it was 1998, he paid a friend like $75 to submit to "all the major engines", and gets like 200 items of spam per day, and those are the ones that AOL allows through.

brass zebras

quite possibly the funniest thread on this site....LOL

Posted By: excell (Moderator)
Posted On: 06/17/2007 09:13 am

ah yes, but as funny as it is we are now number one spot for brass zebras, instead of an ordinary low class rating of spot two for brass zebras.

Bad news is that we are still pipped at the post for the search term brass zebra. How very embarrasing it is to be beaten out for top placement on such a far fetched term like brass zebra.

Posted By: yellowwing (Moderator)
Posted On: 02/25/2008 08:37 pm

Think of the consumer in her living room scanning the open spaces she has created at great expense. Its not quit right, so she pops on the idea, "Hey I need a Brass Zebra to make it perfect."

Niche marketing. Why do you think IKEA is still banging out product after all these years?
