I don't know about anyone else out there, but as I caste my eye around I see some SEO work out there that is far from optimal.
I don't mean your cowboy type runaway SEO wannbe or diehard spammers.. I'm just commenting on the type that advertise SEO / search engine friendly / search engine postion etc.. and yet do not even have the bases covered.
It's a worry, I think it serves to confuse the marketplace...what do you think?

I think it makes it hard on qualified SEO's when someone who doesn't know any better says "But I can get that for 29.95..". Reminds me of a late night infomercial advertising a cheap inferior substitute. People don't know what they're buying until they've got it in their hands. I've seen a lot of it too.

I don't think this is anything new Excell. Quick-Fix SEOs have been around for a long time. Well, actually they usually aren't around for long, but more keep popping up like weeds!

My 'favourites' are newbies who sign up for a forum, ask a load of basic questions and one month later say they are professional SEOs.
Then they come back when things don't go the way they think they will...
