Keyword density still matters ?

Just wondering if each page should be adjusted accordingly or not...?

Still matters - but probably more harm is done by overdoing than underdoing.

Key word stuffing and simply overdoing it are not far apart, and noone knows exactly where the line is.

I suspect that many cases of sick site syndrome are a direct result of 'overenthusiastic' keyword density.

Best to :

1. let each page focus on just a couple of keyword phrases / words

2. re-read content carefully; if it looks silly, it probably is!

in my experience it isn't the density of the keywords that count. Its where you place the keywords and keyword phrases and the context in which you use them

I don't; I do it 'by eye'.

KW density has to be matched with visitor sensibilities; I aim to meet their needs, then reread to check there aren't too many pronouns or synonyms that don't help.

Provided the KW are appropriately represented in TITLE, H1, and where required, I reckon SEs will give me due credit. And I don't want sick site syndrome. smile

Like Quad I try to "e ball" it. Looking through the eye of my visitors and yet like Mj, I still consider placement and usage... but I also look at it through the eye of a SE and make sure I am not stuffing or over loading --- it is a very fine mixture in my opinion.
