Ranking Power...

Has anyone ever used Ranking Power (www.rankingpower.com)??? Thinking about buying it, but dont really want to get ripped off. There is another software called Trafficequalizer (Trafficequalizer.com).... Both look to be almost the same thing....

Any opinions? The reason I am thinking of using it, is that I have a website that I am about to launch, but I want to start getting traffic very quickly... and as the site grows, the content will grow.. but in the beginning the content will not be as big as the other related sites.... make sense?? in the long run, I will have lots of content, much of it provided by visitors... but I have to get the visitors in the first place.... see the problem?

So, any opinions on these software tools? Anyone used it? want to let me "Try" it? Tell me about it, etc....

Unless your site is mentioned all over the news, there's just not any legitimate ways of getting traffic very quickly. If you think you're going to buy some magic bullet software program to get lots of traffic to a website very quickly then you're wrong.

Sure, you could pay for "visitors" and "traffic" to your website but they won't end up buying something on your website unless those visitors are targeted. These things take time. Take the time to create the content first and the visitors will follow. If you have good content on your site then your traffic will explode. But it won't happen without spending the time and effort to create the content.

If you've got a budget of 100k dollars to spend on media advertising all over the internet, that's one thing. But buying some software package with promises and guarantees is not the way to do it because it just won't work.

You'd be better off spending money on PPC ads related to what you're selling on your site rather than some software with empty promises and guarantees.

I bought traffic equalizer. I really like it, and I'm not even an affiliate. However, my plans are to use it sparingly. I have a site that is already really popular, but I want my users to have more resources. They're always sending me emails asking me for the best this and the best that. So why not create a small directory to help them. I don't know if this will help my site in the search engines, but I think my exisitng users will like it.

Make your own judgement, but anything that automatically-generates web pages is spam. Using a program like this will get your site banned in the search engines.

I wouldn't touch Traffic Equalizer with a 10 foot pole.

This is true... and one of the reasons that I am thinking about trying it... It gives you content, for free basically. A links section that has good info for those that want to go there and won't hurt anyone that doesn't want to see it.

Well i had to buy Traffic Equalizer and try it out for myself. I just created a site with 2,752 pages. I used 2,752 keywords. From what i can see, the program basically creates tons of "on topic" links pages on the fly. I can see this type of constructed site being banned from all the major engines. Technically these are not spam pages, since they supply useful information to the user. BUT..... i am requesting the refund and will not be using this software. What will happen is: Everyone and their brother's uncle will use this. All of a sudden, every result you find and click on from a search engine will be another one of these pages and never lead you to the "True" content you are searching for.

The entire internet will become just directory pages!

Write some "real" content, useful content, for your site, and you will build a reputation for your site, and your visits will surely increase.

Use this other automated spammy junk laden rubbish and your site will have an altogether different sort of reputation, not the one that you really wanted.

Have you seen any results from Traffic Equalizer?

I have seen the advertisements for these type of programs and I think for what it is it may do more harm than good. I agree that if everyone used it then it would dilute the interent usability alot but then everyone seems to be striving for that higher ranking for more traffic, and seems to be willing to take the risks to do so.

On another note I did try a free program called Traffic Hurricane http://www.Traffic-Hurricane.com and it add RSS feeds to the results. Trouble is that if everyone uses the same principals then what use is RSS? The question then arises is that are people using RSS feeds on their website bascially striving to do the same thing by producing fake content i.e. some 'real' content mixed in with dynamically updated stuff to fool the search engines into thinking that past 'sometimes ancient' articles on that page are actually upto date or is something else of value?

It could be debated that what these programs produce are actually gateway pages and at worst doorway pages, but then creating a page of relevant search engine listings from these type of programs is really no different than creating your own directory of resources or god forbid another link directory in the hope of these now too elusive rankings. I would say that it really depends on your standpoint and how low people are willing to stoop, some go as low as cloaking but unless you are Google then its pretty hard to work out who is really doing it ...

If it works, provides "good content", use it. There is no "page" limit on the Internet. Google shouldn't be dictating the Internet to us anyway.
