How do I find my competition?

I know competition exists, but I'm having trouble finding it. I have tried going to google and searching for keywords that are related, checking the one or two (big) competitor sites that I know of and seeing what other pages people visit via the alexa toolbar. Is there anything else I can use to identify my competition?

Sort of ironic I'm having trouble finding competition, I guess that can be a good thing...?

I was wondering if there are any tools out there to find this competition.

Thanks,
Brandon

I assume you sell something?

Search for manufacurer names, product types, individual product names, reference numbers, stock codes, etc. I assume that is what you are already doing?

I am surprised that you don't find much. Maybe most other people aren't selling via the web yet, or not even advertising their business via the web, or they are but the sites are so low on content, even Google can't find them.
