You are looking for the wrong thing.

There is no need to ever submit to search engines. All of the major engines have bots that will find your site on their own as long as someone else links to your site. Indeed, Google will not list a site unless it finds other sites linking to it.

You should be submitting to directories, but this should always be done by hand. All other approaches are spam. You only need to submit once. Anything that repeatedly submits is generating spam, and you should avoid doing that.

I agree that SE submitting is a waste of money, but I disagree that all other approaches are spam. There are quite a few other ways to get quality backlinks.

1) Write articles, and submit them to article directories such as http://www.Content-Articles.com, http://www.EzineArticles.com, and others (there are tons)

If you want, you can use an article submission service like [link]

2) Search on your favorite search engine for your keywords + links - this will help you find link partners that have sites similar to yours, so you can trade links and benefit from eachother's traffic and the SE bots will follow their links to your sites

Actually, if you want a program that will automate this for you, I recommend SEO Elite - [link] - it will allow you to find out who is linking to your competitors' sites, and you can then trade links with those sites and move right on up the SERPs and *hopefully* end up higher than those competitors - I posted this in another thread, but check out the videos on the site, they're sweet

3) Post in forums, and put your site in your signature. If the forum is popular, it will be spidered often, and your link will be followed to your site.

Using these methods, I've had sites indexed by Google in a matter of days (full indexed, not just the front page)

Well, right. Always read the forum rules, but most will allow you to put a link or two in your signature.

I apologize for not mentioning that this forum doesn't allow self promotion links

Why not take advantage of Google's XML Sitemap feed or Yahoo's version for listing your links?

These are 2 new ways of "submitting" your site and I have had a positive response with both.
