Is anyone familiar with atlas solutions?
If so, how effective of a tool do you think it is?

I have used their PPC Search tool (Atlas One Point) in the past and have found it to be extremely effective in managing paid search campaigns.
Not many tools can work effectively with Google and this seems to be the best.
The analytics you can get and rules you can set up for your campaigns are awesome. Of course all tools have ups and downs but for me it works great.
It can also provide detailed referring domain information to help with Organic - the information you can gain from your Paid Search campaigns helps also determine good keywords to optimize for organically.
Just my opinion but hope it helps.

Other than some link-checking tools and keyword research tools, I don't advocate any tools.
Manage PPC campaigns manually - the systems are already in place and work fine, for most people, most of the time.
If you are an agency with thousands and thousands of bids to manage daily - maybe then software is the answer.
Get down into the dirt and do the work yourself - that's always the best way to stay connected to what is actually working.
Plus, some of those types of tools p1ss Google & Yahoo off, so they can get you in trouble.
If you are using a tool - be very careful and DO NOT abuse it - don't have the tool checking things every hour - have it check 3 times per day instead.
be respectful of the resources you are accessing.
I've always just found it easier to do it all by hand - and I have actually managed 1,000+ keywords this way - in G & Y!...

I agree with SportsGuy in some respects - when I was using it I was with an agency and had multiple accounts.
Also, we used the tools for bid management and analysis but believe me - you should not rely on a tool to simply do the work. While I used the tool as mentioned - the majority of my analysis and optimization was conducted offline - knee deep in spreadsheets and with propriatery algos and methodologies that we created.
You should never rely on a computer to understand search marketing, trends, ...etc
