Installing my first RSS Reader

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone can help out a newbie with something.

Im building a website in Dreamweaver (my first) and would like to install an RSS Reader into the template but I cant seem to figure it out.

Is there an easy to install reader anyone can suggest that uses PHP rather than javascript ? The reason I say PHP is stuff Ive read suggests PHP is search engine friendly whereas java isnt. The other thing is (assuming someone suggests a PHP reader) will I need to learn a truckload of stuff about PHP to setup the reader on my website or is there an easier way out like some kind of setup file I can download ?

If you search around for "PHP RSS Parser" you should find your way around. Most are easy enough to setup without knowing how to program.
