I understand how to generate reports for rankings when you know the search phrases, but is there a way to see what phrases a site ranks for without knowing the phrases? What I mean is, how would I tell what phrases a site is already ranking for without looking for specific phrases? I would think that there was an advanced search parameter or software that would be similar to identifying how many pages are in a given index but in this case it would state the search phrases indexed for a given site.

Check your log file. It will tell you unknown gold mining keywords

thanks for the info... however, I don't have access to the logs for a couple of sites that I manage. any other suggestions?

There are lot of free trackers (example: sitemeter.com). Add their code on all your pages. Then you can see your visitors info on their site.
