Well, I know of this one book on blogs, SEO and making money...LOL

But seriously - try running a search in Google for:

seo e-book
seo ebook
learn seo

Those sorts of searches.

There are plenty of things floating around, but be careful - many folks are just trying to "Make a buck" and will sell you old, out of date info as fresh gear.

My faves have always included the Search Engine Optimization for Dummies book, the Sitepoint SEO binder (gotta pay for it) and the SEO Update available from SearchEngineNews.com as part of your subscription there.

Like most things - you get what you pay for.

As for forums, you're currently at one of the oldest - so searching within this site on phrases you see in posts will net you thousands of pages of reading and will get your vocabulary up to speed, too. wink

As far as trying to find reliable up-to-date WPO (aka: SEO) e-books using a search engine, SERP's won't necessarily yield good results. Get forum recommends from reliable forum members (not those drive-by spammer types but from long-time members actually trying to help you).

Of course you might assume that the top SERP's are the best WPO ebooks—not always the case though.

WPO is so complex these days that you'll likely never be able to stay on top of everything now days because too many parameters are out of your control. All you can do with your site is give yourself a slightly better odds of ranking higher in the SERP's. New sites are at a serious disadvantage from the get-go.

i'd be very carefull about using ebooks as a knowledge base. many contain old and recycled information that may not be relevant anymore. as a rule, most of the information you find on the net is erroneous at best.tay with info and ebooks from reputable firms such as the one's listed above. if youhave a questions about a books veracity, post it here and we will help decide if the information is current and relevant.
