Rank/Possition Tracker?

What software is around that can help track my possition in Google for a given keyword?

I have seen something ages ago, where you put in the url and keyword, and then each time you log on you can get the new possition, and you can see where you was, so if you have moved up or down.

doing things like that really irratate the search engines and cause big problems. The best 'automated' thing you'll find IMO is probably SEOmoz's one as it has a huge delay so it doesn't annoy the SE's

The easiest tool I've seen to do rank & position tracking is at Search Page Rankings (I don't think I can give link according to ToS, but you can probably figure it out). The history analysis tools are crude, but function as describe.

The best part is simply that you can have automatic emails setup to notify you of your current ranking so you don't have to stay on top of it all the time.

I'd be curious if anyone has any other suggestions.

Google WMT gives you a selection - for searches that people actually made.

A Spreadsheet works well. As does SEO Book rank check plug-in for Firefox.
