Wow. Not to be a jerk or anything but I really think you should look into getting some help from a designer with this site. It screams of spam/infomercial.
Also, the text-to-speech automatic reader is pretty obnoxious. Might be a good thing to have on the site but I'd at least not have it start automatically. Let the user choose to run it.
Again, not trying to be a jerk. I know you seek honest opinions though.

I'm hoping it's just a link drop - because if you really want to improve that crock of cr*p, you'll really need to start over.
