I have a worm implanted on my computer. I have tried taking it out with various methods, but it is still there.

It disables mt task Manager, and aside from that it has little affect on my computer, but each day it is trying to connect to a specifc IP address. My firewall then stops it.

I did a search on my computer to see if I can find a file with that IP adress, but did not find any.

Any ideas as to how I can convert that IP address knowledge so I can exratc the worm out.

I have done all the traditional virus extraction methods.

Thanks For your help.

What have you tried to use to remove it? Have you tried the online virus scans from McAfee and Trend Micro? Which IP address is it trying to connect to? If we can connect the IP address to a particular site you might be able to narrow down what exactly it is that you're dealing with.
