I want to set up a link exchange manager where people can add, modify and delete links into categories and given my link to add to their page. I also want to be able to approve links and add links myself. I want to do this on my web page instead of a remote host if possible. I have no idea how to set up an CGI script and would like to buy a program that is a WYSIWYG Page Designer type interface so I can build my own database link exchange directory. I normal use FrontPage without the FrontPage extension. I do know HTML coding. I preferred to manually FTP my web page into the host. Any suggestions on what software I can buy to do this?
Thank you
Kimberly

Hi Kimberly,
It looks like you will need to know CGI, PHP or something similar. You may also be able to find a free script to do what you need as well. If you are giving users the option to modify and delete links will each user have to create an account on your site as well or will any user be able to modify and delete any link? Also, when a user adds a link will it instantly add it to your site or will it email the information to you and allow you to approve it first?
If you have time to give me more information I can probably help more
Good luck!
