Hi all,

I had been thinking about developing a crawler that could fetch the data from various search engines based on keywords search with geolocation using google maps.

The idea is, I would type in a keyword like "Radio controlled Toys", and on a google map it would show me where in the world people are searching for this keyword or similar keywords.
Lets say people in Germany in the city of Berlin are looking for the keyword, it will show me on the google map, and based on that I can set up an advertising compaign down there.

Any ideas about the product?

Are there any websites providing the service or products?

Thanks

The danger is that it won't work. The origins of searches may be listed at the nodes of the telecommunications systems, rather than the actual geolocations.

For example, in the UK, there's (apparently) more people searching in Peterborough (pop 165,000) than London (pop 8.5m).

Not helpful, sorry!

what about Google Trends API?

Can we use it for this purpose? Locating users for against specific keywords..
