Have an AdSense account and find yourself spending way too much time checking up on the money that your content sites are making?

http://www.trackmeat.com/

TrackMeat AS is a 100% free program that will check on your account at regular intervals and get back to you (with visual and/or audio prompts) every time that the money that you have made grows.

Hey, if it's addictive at least don't let it keep you from being productive.

Kick the tires (will work on most Windows-based PCs) and get back to me with any bugs you come across. There's a CJ.com tracker there free for the taking as well.

Thanks -- and enjoy!

Doh! Registerfly is where the domain is registered but I guess it's not forwarding right as the www.

That one WILL work

You need to setup a www Cname in your Advanced DNS settings at Registerfly.com. The same way you set up subdomains with their interface.

Rick, what can you tell me about this program. I've learned to be careful about installing unknown software, ever since Gater came into existence. Are you the programmer? What's the history behind this project/product. Does it install any spyware, scumware?

I'm sure you can understand my concern.

That said, welcome to the forums. wink

I just downloaded it and gave it a shot ... pretty cool.

Concerns:

How can we be assured that you don't have the program emailing you our login information ?

Suggestion:

Once you start it up and hit "GO", it should close the window, and live in the tray only, so that we don't have one more thing taking up taskbar space

Save the settings to a file someplace, and use that when you start it up. As it is, you have to re-enter your information and preferences on each startup, kind of a pain.

Make it a real "setup.exe" type of installation, it's much better than having the .exe you download be the actual program that runs .... kind of amaturish that way.

Unreviewed. I am not the programmer, but I did pay to have the app created to my specs (and I have the copyright and resell rights -- though I don't have any intention of charging for it). No scumware. No spyware. Gator is a travesty. It's just that simple .exe file (and the .wav file). And, yes, I understand you concerns. The history? This is a Scriptlance project that I had outsourced when I found that I was wasting too much time tracking pennies when I should be devoting my online time to making them. I figured others would feel the same. No real history as this has all been done over the past week and I just put it up last night (hence the amateurish setup).

jcokos, excellent suggestions. As for your concern, after your first time using the program it creates an email.dat that only contains your email address (so you don't have to enter that every time).

I think your suggestion is excellent in that it should also store the settings as default. And I agree on the installation. Since it's just one file and I wanted to give the user the option to replace the .wav file for the sound updates with anything they want I didn't raise this issue to the programmer (or set it up as a Zip file with both files) but I can probably get him to incorporate that into it -- as well as minimizing the program at "Go" -- thanks so much. This is excellent feedback!

Okay! Thanks to Bill and John for all the feedback. These are the changes now available in the program. . .

-- It is now one zipped file, which, unzipped contains a simple Setup program.

-- Once you click "Go" it minimizes right away. Your AdSense and Commission Junction commissions will update down in the taskbar and system tray.

-- No need to update your preferences every time. It's all there -- except for your password (for security reasons).

Give it a spin. Let me know how it works and which version of Windows you're running it on. John, I appreciate your suggestions. The program is greatly improved as a result. Thanks!

Neat. I built something similar to this that gathers for quite a few networks / affiliate sites .. never thought of the visual/audio popups though. Pretty cool.

Silv, thanks! I pretty much needed the audio/visual perks to make sure that I don't get distracted from what I'm doing unless it's a material gain! smile

Just downloaded it and it looks like a great idea. My only suggestion would be to make it go only into the system tray when you hit the "Go" button instead of also being in the task bar. Keep up the great work!

Just got it and I am using it constantly. I am using the adsense version.

Bugs:
It doesn't always check every 5 minutes when it is supposed to. I can hear it clicking sometimes checking but othertimes it doesn't check and the money amount will stay the say for 1-2 hours but when i click go it then updates again, please look into that.

Suggestions:
Try to talk to the programmer and have it exclusively go into the icon tray, having the bar there can get annoying sometimes. You could also put into it a graph type system that might check the account and record the number of clicks and money at the intervals it checks and you can output it to an excel file to make a graph of progress per a 24 hour period.

I'm developing one now that will have tons of features. I'll be releasing it in about 2-3 weeks after testing.
