Guys,

This is happening, google is finally allowing image ads.

See https://www.google.com/adsense/new

Anyone already experimenting?

I turned them on my account temporarily, and didn't really care for the results. The ads are fine, and it's great to see a source for image-based ads that aren't tacky, flashing, or misleading. A few folks have stated that they've seen the overall CPM they are seeing from AdSense go down a bit when utilizing the graphical ads.

I think it's a great feature -- I've said for some time that the targeting technology could be used to great effect with graphical ads in addition to the text ads. I'd just like to see the possibility of separate ad code for each.
