Hi all,
This is my first post;I hope someone can help. I managed
to create a website from wysiwyg and added adsense code. Well, everything went haywire.Borders of every outline on the page has moved over, but nothing connects.Looks like a reflection of the page is also on top of it.I used the validator w/ several errors returned. I'm pretty green when comes to editing code and would like to optimize. Is there any way to muddle through all the sites claiming to be SEO's
w/o getting ripped off?

First off Bird, welcome to the forums! smile

Sorry it's taken so long for anyone to reply to this post.

Please help us by posting the URL to the site in your profile so we can see what you're seeing. We encourage folks to leave the URL in their profile rather than posting links in the forums. wink

Though I'll be away for the next couple of days, hopefully someone else can take a peek and ofer some suggestions to help get you sorted.

BTW - which actual editor did you use to build the pages?

As you have seen wysiwyg editors aren't really. They can behave erratically. Always save a separate copy of what you're editing under another name. Then save as you make each major change.

If something like this happens close the current work without saving the changes and you go back to the save just before whatever went haywire. Worst case you can go back to the separate copy, make another working copy and go on from there.

Many wysiwyg editors change code when you paste it. Look under edit for a paste html or paste special or paste java or something like that and use it instead of just a regular paste.

As for SEO, learn the basics yourself and apply them as you build your site. You'll get better results and you probably won't need a professional SEO until your site can afford to pay for one.
