Has anyone tried Commission Junction as a Publisher?
Is it worth investing in it

I have an account with CJ.
You open it, apply to programs which interest you, or match your content and if approved by the advertiser (in some cases it's an auto-apporval), you're free to grab their ads and place them on your site.
The depth of reporting is good and they pay monthly if you reach the threshold - minimum of $25 USD, IIRC.
In over a year of using them, I have only ever received one cheque - for $26...and mostly because I bought tickets to a Billy Joel concert through my own link...
I have tried MANY different types of advertisers related to my vertical and many different styles of ads. Funny enough, the companies I figured would be a perfect match for my audience turned me down...LOL Imagine - auto insurance companies NOT wanting to advertise on an auto-related site...go figure.
For the most part, I think the problems I had with non-performance can be boiled down to two things:
1 - My placement of most links I used could have been better
2 - Image ads are mostly ignored by users these days, so they simply don't perform well.
I have been thinking of using a couple of text links again now that my traffic is much higher to see if that was the difference (lack of interested traffic).
Google Adsense is performing for me and does well each month. Click rates are solid and it generates real revenue, so I'm not in any hurry to swap over to CJ again any time soon.
I have heard from others who have had great success with CJ, but I tried some of the programs and they did squat for me.

I have had better luck with Linkshare and Shareasale.
Shareasale has better utilities for publishers than the others.
