My graphics on my site are huge! And i cant get them smaller, without changing the quality.

Can anyone help me with this? The graphics i want changed, are all on bikeforums.com, I would like to change the main logo from 6K to ~4 - 4.5K, as long as it looks good! And i really need to change the 8 corner icons (images/tl-t, tl-b, tr-t, tr-b, bl-t, bl-b, br-t & br-b.jpg) from 2.5k to .5 - .6k

Help!

4.5k

Download Fireworks 4 from www.macromedia.com and use it to optimize your images.

Yeah, Macromedia Fireworks is a great tool to use.

However, compress it as a gif
http://www.alex-g.com/Images/Misc/BikeForums.gif

and its 2.54k at 16 colors

Here are some good threads dealing with compression:

<TD ALIGN="left" VALIGN="top" WIDTH="15" BGCOLOR="006699"><IMG SRC="images/tl-t.jpg" BORDER="0" WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" ></TD>

Check the case. tl-t.GIF, tl-t.Gif, and tl-t.gif are three different files.

Ron's right. ".gif" is part of the file name.

<TD ALIGN="left" VALIGN="top" WIDTH="15" BGCOLOR="006699"><IMG SRC="images/tl-t.jpg" BORDER="0" WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" ></TD>

You are still calling the .jpg instead of the new .gif.

I would also suggest keeping file names in lower case.
