Hello!
I was advised to place my message in this forum and I hope that someone will help me. My site is designed in flash so I can't add any text there. I've heard that there is a program called "aftershock" that helps to solve this problem. Does anyone know if it is possible to freedownload it from some site?

As far as I know Aftershock used to be bundled with Flash 3.

Why not? you can add text in the form of HTML.

I'm assuming that you are adding text for better search engine ranking. There is a technique you can use where you make a 1 pixel frame and into that frame as well as the <noframes> you can load a hand crafted doorway page. This leaves you open to the possibility of spamming.

But be carefull if a competitor sees spam in those frames you can kiss your site rankings goodbye because they will more than likely report you and get you band.

Adding text to the actual Flash content eg. SWF movie file will not be read by spiders as far as I know.

Just build a HTML template, and embed the SWF in the middle of it - you can have all the normal meta-tags and other text around the movie to optimize the page. The SE spiders will read all the rest of the HTML content and miss the Flash bit. It works for me.
