Hello all.I like to design with everyone in mind and recently started thinking about how sites I design look at various connection speeds. I have a DSL line but I was thinking mostly of seeing what sites look like at 56 and 33.6. Can anyone recommend any programs that can emulate different connection speeds? Preferably freeware or shareware, as I'm sure no program that does just this kind of function is available for a price somewhere. Then again, I could be wrong... Thanks in advance! Hey Astro,When you say "emulate" do you mean like a visual on screen recreation of a 56.6K connection page load or do you just want to see how long it will take in seconds and bytes? Because if you want to see it in "data form" DW displays the load times on the bottom right. I also remember there was a tool at www.deepspaceweb.com that did something similar. However, they redesigned the site and I can't find it anymore. It would be interesting to see a visual equivalent of a 56k load though. I'm going to go dig around and see if there is anything close to that.

Yeah, I do really prefer to see the actual load time in front of me, including how everything looks as it appears when done loading in the browser (so I can, if necessary, reassess my loading hierarchies for slower connections).I've found a few sites that give me statistics on load times, so I'm good there. I never really noticed before that DW had that along the bottom... though I can't seem to figure out how to have it show times for connections other than 56K. Thanks for your help!
