When coding HTML without style sheets and the body bground color is specified is it wise to make sure that each table cell also specifies the background colour? Worried in case some browsers or platforms will serve it as grey. Thanks.

There is no difference either way that I have noticed. I have used both ways. But, the only browsers I usually test for are IE and Navigator.

No need to specify table backgrounds, unless of course you want a background different from your body bg. Yep, I'm a Mac user

I'm also a mac user (I don't do windows-ha!). Table background color defaults to the page's background color on my browsers. IE5 and Netscape 4.6, so there's no need to specify a new color in the table cells
