I use spinwave.com frequently to optimize gif and jpg graphics. They've got an online version where you can optimize one graphic at a time for free online.

is that the program you where talking about.

Does it actuall resize them or just optimize them.

By resizeing I mean taking a 200 x 200 animated gif and making it a 20 x 20 animated gif.

You probably need to use netpbm as you will need to break the animated gif into its component images, resize them then rebuild the image.

It is very very very techie though

I use Animation Shop (which came bundled with Paint Shop Pro 6) when I bought it. It will automatically RESIZE any animated gif very very easily for you. It's a great program to build animated gifs as well.

You can buy it for $39.00 US, or go to http://www.jasc.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=003 and download their evaluation version (I think it's a 30 day free trial).

Fireworks can resize the whole animation together, (without doing every frame individually) then u can export and it'll all be done.
www.macromedia.com makes Fireworks and u get a 30day free trial
