I couldn't afford to hire a graphic designer to make a logo for my site, so I had a go at designing one my self using Adobe Photoshop. Oh the Horror , the results looked as if a 3 year old kid had made it. I don't know if anyone here has had this problem but I just want to know what software you need or if there are any tutorials on the net to help me design and make a logo for my site. If anyone here is feeling ecspecialy kind maybe they could make one for me . Any reply would be appreciated or you could e-mail me at lewis@promoteordie.comThanks

Hey Lewis,You have one of the best tools in the trade. Photoshop is all you really need to make a logo. I'm not sure if there are any good tutorials on making a logo. In a nutshell: I believe a logo is a picture that in under a second should say everything there is to be said about your business. Good designers can do this very well, that's why they're expensive. There are places that make logos for 25 bucks they're not great and you'll probably bump into a few other logos on the net that will look suspiciously close to yours. But hey, you didn't pay them to be unique... You also have to look at it this way, if you spend 4 hours messing around in Photoshop trying to get a logo and you end up tossing it away later. You wasted half of your work day and it may have been cheaper for you to just pay someone to do it. I think that your best bet is to go to the "Let's Barter" forum located here at Get High Traffic Forums. Post a Logo Design Needed ad and offer some kind of a service in exchange. Good Luck!
