Is there a URL to submit your site to? What is the reach of this search engine or is it a directory?

It is a directory and is edited by volunteers. You should be able to find a submit your URL link on category pages that accept submissions.
Additionally, although traffic from GoGuides itself is fairly limited, it IS spidered by the major search engines and will count as an incoming link, so it can help you out that way.

Hi rjjj111,
Thanks for asking about GoGuides.Org.
If you apply to edit a topic, please be sure to review the guidelines first and then make sure the example sites you provide in the application fit the topic you are applying for. After that it's easy.

I only see 2 ways of submiting your site. 1) Pay for inclussion or 2) Apply to become an editor and include your site.

And those are the only two ways to submit to GoGuides. Becoming an editor isn't overly difficult and is rather rewarding. Ive been an editor for about 4 months and am enjoying myself. It's nice to contribute to a community.

Also while you edit, you can learn a lot about writing a proper title and description among other important things. You will find competitors, and you'll see what they're doing, offering, etc. (This is from my Marketing perspective)
You will have fun, and will help your site being spired by major SEs.

I don't recall submitting to GoGuides, but I'm in there. What do the little people represent? Hits? Popularity? Editors Choice? Sorry...dense here. BTW...only one little person by my site.

The people represent the rating of your site given by the reviewer. 3 people is best.
