I have a client who has changed their site name.

They have 2 old and FREE listings in Yahoo.

Will Yahoo change the site name and keep them in for free?

Or will that require them to pay?

If your site is already listed, you can try submitting a change request form to get the name updated to the new name. But, whether or not it will get changed is up for debate.

If you want to make sure it gets changed, and gets changed promptly, you may want to consider going the paid route. (Though personally, I'd give it a shot getting them updated first and go the paid route if it doesn't work.)

No, you don't need to pay them. If your site is listed and you submit again through the express, you will only lose yr money and reject.

Although I agree that they will most likely reject the "submission" they will also have to tell you why it's been rejected opening up a channel of communication through which you should be able to get the name changed.

I would suggest using the change form first though.
