Other than Overture, where's the source of MSN.co.uk listings? Do they use Inktomi? any other sources?

ok - found out that a looksmart.uk listing is required to get in the "directory results". With the news on MSN.com dropping looksmart.com, anyone know if that will happen to UK?

MSN has already dropped LookSmart UK in the main results. Non Overture results are pure Inktomi with a UK bias.

Thanks MakeMeTop.
If I pay for the Inktomi crawl here in the US, I may have those pages show up in MSN UK? or is there an Inktomi UK out there.

Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been away
Paying for pages in the US makes no difference to where they appear. This is down to each Inktomi partner. In the case of MSN, they are attempting to use filters to try and make sites appear that should be more relevant to users in different regions, so pages from .co.uk sites or .com sites seen as being UK biased will get a ranking boost in MSN UK but get a demotion on MSN US. However, the pages are all pulled from the same Inktomi database. The filters are added at the search site that pulls from the main database.
