This is incredibly frustrating. I don't have a battery on the computer I am writting on, and I type the message in once and the lights go out, then again and it got lost in the browser. Finally, hopefully , now it will go live.

I have tryed to submit my web site to dmoz and it won't work. I fill in the information and then click on the submit buton, it starts loading but never finishes. Anybody else having this problem? Any comments, solutions will be apreciated.

If you're frustrated, go over to www.resource-zone.com, register, and use their stats area to check the status of your submission.

Before you do this, though, make sure you wait 3 months. They ask that you wait 3 months after you submit.

Where did you get the three month from, bhartzer? Let's quote the guidelines:

"Wait at least a month after you last submitted your site to start a thread here asking about its status."

To the initial question: I constantly receive fresh submissions in the categories I take care of. So yes, there are people who are able to submit sites.

Thank you wind harp. What I am really trying to say is:

Does everybody else have the same experince when submitting: I fill in the form, and when I click submit, I never get to a confirmation page. I wouldn't have made this post if I got to a confimation page. But I keep trying, and I never get to any confimation page, all that happens is it starts loading and seems to get stuck. My question is: is the situation mentioned beforehand common, does enybody else have this problem? I would really like to know.

Thank you.

It is not common, but can be related to a number of things, most of which are due to (some or all of) your browser, firewall, or ISP.

Try submitting from a different browser, or even a totally different computer and see what happens.

It is possible that the submission is received, but you didn't see the confirmation. It is also possible that the submission wasn't received. Ask for status at Resource Zone a month after you last submitted.

If the submission was received then there is no need to resubmit it ever again.
