I just noticed today that it is possible to submit to the Yahoo directory for free again. I'm pretty sure that just came back today because I was just on there yesterday and the free submittal wasn't there.

Maybe they're putting new efforts toward building up their directory to help the relevancy of their web search? Anyone know what prompted this?

Also, anyone have any clue how long it used to take for a site to be included through the free submittal?

Its always been there - never went away.
If its a commercial site, its unlikely to ever be listed under the free submittal option.

Actually, now that I look at it more closely, it looks like the free submittal is only there in certain categories, which I'm guessing means it was there before today and I just didn't realize it...
