Depends on your category. But the site has a PR 7 for the main page, and over 3000 links in google. Plus it is an alexa 46,000.

I would say it is a good 20 dollar link. Even if your category has low PR, the site seems to be good enough that over time, if your category has low PR, it will raise.

it is a decent link, but I would try many of the free directories
(such as http://www.wowdirectory.com or http://www.landoflinks.com or http://www.gimpsy.com)
first

and then I would try some of the better one time fee directories before I listed my site in a directory that charged recurring fees.

joeant (also free for editors)
goguides
skaffe (also free for 4 hours each day and free for editors)
web beacon (also free for editors)
bluefind
etc.

Hello. I am an employee at Best of the Web, http://www.botw.org , and the honor of representing the company in the webmaster forums has been bestowed upon me. Quite frankly, I do not know if I am up for it, so try to keep the flames to a minimum smile

As you could imagine, the building of a directory is quite an undertaking. We are working diligently to build a comprehensive directory of the best that the web has to offer. Our team of editors constantly add new sites, and the directory continues to grow at an impressive rate. In a show of our commitment to growing the directory, BOTW will begin accepting free submissions for non-commercial sites. We are in the final stages of testing the non-commercial submission process, and plan on offering the new feature in a matter of days.

Webmaster feedback is very important to us - I welcome your comments, and am here to help with any questions you may have.

Weird. I saw their Free Submission option today and tried to use it, but then it suddenly disappeared from their site.

wereworm - Our apologies for the confusion. Over the weekend, we were in the process of launching the newest version of BOTW, and experienced technical difficulties. We are in the process of de-bugging and testing. According to our IT team, we should have the free submission process live "in the next couple days". Thanks for your patience.
