Hello, I run somewhat high-ranking search portal where advertisers and webmaster may submit their site. I'm currently looking at several options for how advertisers will pay for their listings. If you could please offer me you thoughts on the different options I would be much appreciated.
First, I want to state that offer a lot of additional options for advertisers than the other pay per click, such as:
Free ROI tracking & the ability to chat with web searchers browsing our search results for one of your keywords. Basically, we send out a page to you when someone has searched our directory for one of your keywords, you are then able to either invite them to a live chat session or simply start up the chat (though the later is a bit intrusive).
There are no additional fees for these features (and there are many other features as well which are included in all campaigns).
Now, my question is this.
Would you prefer to stick to a standard pay-per-click deal where you only pay for clicks to your site...
OR
Would you feel better about bidding on keywords on a monthly basis, with unlimited clicks. In other words, you pay $0.02 for the keyword "web hosting" for the entire month, regardless of how many clicks you receive. Your ranking is still determined by the current key word bidding.
Both have advantages. With the pay-per-click method, you are only paying for actual clicks, but this could get extremely expensive if you have a popular keyword and receive many clicks. The second method is is beneficial because you pay a set fee regardless of how many clicks you get - the downfall being that if you don't receive any clicks at all, you've still had to pay.
Please provide me with your feedback on this.

I would advice you to stick to PPC. I use tracking codes for all online ads so I have no need for ROI tracking sistems (i track it myself).
There are too many small places that don't deliver traffic and charge monthly fees. Atleast I, like to see what I am paying for (even thought it may just be BS clicks). Far too many times have I put money in a ppc and never gotten a click. Fortunately, most of the time with PPC, I get a refund on the non-used portion of the money. The best way get paid advertising online, IMO, is via PPC, and small minimun deposits re-enforce confidence in people who are weary of trying your service. I normally put about 75-100 dollars in a new ppc to test it.
