Google likes Dmoz and what about MSN and Yahoo? Does anybody knows which directories favoured by MSN and Yahoo?

Nearly all the search engines like the same major directories. All like DMOZ, the Yahoo directory, Business.com etc., etc.

Yahoo particularly likes its' own directory!

Yes maybe Yahoo likes it's own directory, but, one of my sites is listed in Yahoo and that site doesn't appear in the search. The site doesn't even get crawled. The crawler reads the robots, and the main page, and that's it !!!

You can check - to some degree - the popularity of a directory with a search engine by the 'saturation' level - how many pages of the directory are found in the index of the SE. Have a look at http://www.strongestlinks.com/directories.php for a comprehensive comparison. Clicking on the 'info' link shows the detailed informatio aboiut each directory.
