Hi,
I just submitted a site to the Jayde.com B2B Directory. I got a page offering to submit my site to 1500 search engines. Is this okay to do. I know it is not such a good idea to pay for those types of services but because Jayde is a recognized directory, is it safe?
Thanks

It depends on where they're submitting them. Personally, I can't see how 1500 search engines are all going to be relevant to your site in particular. The places they submit to are probably a bunch of smaller directories, for those ones it should be ok. Probably 95% of the places they submit aren't going to benefit you much though (ie. if you have a games site selling software in the UK and they submit it to a games site for Australia). If its any of the larger directories or search engines which really frown on automated submissions I would say to avoid it. In the end, I'm not sure if you'll actually gain much useful traffic from something like this. Even reputable directories are out to make money like everyone else.

Be Prepaired befor allowing to add your site to add with 1500 search engines, think what happen if they do the same & all engines are on your server to crawl.
1)Bandwidth Issue.
2)Server Crash.
