The forum is not closing, they are just stopping site status reviews - [link]

On average it takes a very long time, I've had sites take over a year. Others just a few weeks and a few even less. But that isn't very relevant help to you imo as each experience can be different based on variables such as how many are in line before you, if the category has an editor, how active that editor is, etc.

There are 10 000 live editor accounts and 3 000 editors who are fairly active. There are 650 000 categories.

There is no data as to which editors will be editing which category, or when, nor how much work they will do.

Calculating any "average" is meaningless.

No category is without an editor. There are 200 editors who can edit anywhere.

One day last week I reviewed and accepted two sites in a row, one had been submitied a week ago, one was from three years ago. There is no average, it's has no meaning unless you define how to calculate the average. And even if you come up with a defination it's statistically meaningless.

If you said, what has been the average time to get reviewed in a certain categroy, in the last two months, we could calculate that, but it really has no meaning for what will happen next week. Editors tend to work in unpredicatable bursts of energy. They might concentrate on a group of categories for a few days, then jump to something else.

I visited a backwater category yesterday. I deleted a spam submission from 1999 and one from 2 months ago; and listed a suggestion waiting there since 2003. That was the first editing in that category since 2001.

Average? What average?
