I have tried changing my description in DMOZ twice -- once about 6 months ago, and when it never happened, I tried again about a month ago, with no results. Is this normal? And is there anything I can do about it?

If your change was simply to add keywords then it would likely have been rejected.

If whatever is written now is factually correct, from looking at the website content, then the update would have been rejected.

If no-one is working in that category, then it is still waiting for someone to look at it.

I almost never change descriptions when requested by webmasters - they are not compliant with the guidelines.
