Well, looks like it was for real. The rumours flew, then Zeal posted the message.

I went by the site yesterdat and it was fine.

Came in this morning, checked the URL and there's just a "Thanks to our volunteers and users" message with a suggestion to go to Furl.com.

The "strongestlinks" list I use for finding directories updated automatically to remove zeal last night, too.

Kind of a shame, but partly my own fault, I suppose.

I was a Zealot, yet never really did any work there - intended to, but,...

Anyway, did you even notice? Do you even care...? wink

to be honest, I'd never heard of zeal untill people were saying about it closing down sad lol, still green smile

it was a directory from LookSmart. They also have a search engine called WiseNut...

i heard about the closing but didn't notice and don't care

SportsGuy, you're a bit hard on yoursef. I'm positive you played no role in LookSmarts lack of success.
